Cultural Events "Argatia" in Epanomi - A Celebration of Tradition and Community Support

Epanomi will host two unique cultural events on October 11 and 12, 2024, as part of the international conference "Argatia", organized by the Trans Europe Halles network, with the support of FIX in ART and the Tourism Association of Thermaikos Municipality.

The "Argatia" conference draws its inspiration from the Pontic dialect, where the word "Argatia" expresses the concept of collective support offered by the community when someone is in need. This year’s meeting aims to revitalize this community spirit through art and culture, with local events celebrating tradition and communal solidarity.

1. Friday, October 11 | 20:30Rebetiko Feast at Nea Park, EpanomiRebetiko, one of the most authentic genres of Greek folk music, will take us on a journey back in time. Volunteer musicians will offer the audience an unforgettable night filled with Smyrnaic and Rebetiko melodies, accompanied by the sounds of the bouzouki and guitar. A celebration of genuine Greek atmosphere, promising to fill the air with emotions and memories.

2. Saturday, October 12 | 21:00

   Tribute to Greek Cinema at Ioannis Metaxas Square, Epanomi
