Gault&Millau Gastronomy Guide 2024 - Serbia celebrates the pinnacle of culinary art


The prestigious gastronomy guide "Gault&Millau," in collaboration with the Tourist Organization of Serbia, at the official ceremony on April 24th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade, celebrated top restaurants and culinary talents across Serbia. This annual event, representing the pinnacle in the world of gastronomy, brought together the elite of the culinary world and gastronomy enthusiasts from the country and the region.

"Gault&Millau" serves as a guide to Serbia's exceptional culinary offerings, with "caps" awarded in various categories that highlight exceptional talents and top restaurants in the field of gastronomy.

At the beginning of the promotion of the "Gault&Millau" gastronomic guide, the director of "Gault&Millau" Serbia, Mrs. Mira Šemić, the director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Mrs. Marija Labović, and the state secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Youth, Mr. Uroš Kandić, addressed the attendees.




The highest "caps" were awarded to the restaurants Fleur de Sel, Langouste, Salon 1905, Enso, Homa, JAM – Just A Maestro, La Pista, Project 72 Wine & Deli, Restoran 27, Restoran GIG, The Square, which stood out with their extraordinary creativity, food quality, and service. These restaurants have become synonymous with gastronomic excellence and the reputation of Serbian cuisine.

Additionally, awards were presented in six individual categories:



Best Sommelier: This prestigious title was awarded to the expert Predrag Gavrilović (Legat 1903), whose passion for wine and skill in pairing wines with dishes impressed the jury.

Best POP (Popular): This category recognizes the PRETOP restaurant in Zemun, which won the hearts of the public with its authentic atmosphere and delicious, accessible dishes.

Best Pastry Chef: The outstanding pastry chef Zdravko Gavrilović (Hotel Square Nine), who was the focus of this category, was recognized for his creativity and exceptional sweet creations.

Young Talent: This award was given to the young culinary talent Anđela Risimić (Restaurant Salon 5 A), who distinguished herself with her inventiveness and kitchen skills.




Chef of Tradition: Award for Zorana Mrenjic (Salaš kod stare dunje), who best represented traditional Serbian cuisine, respecting authentic recipes and cooking techniques.

Chef of the Future: This award was given to chef Uroš Ivošević (Restaurant GIG), who won the jury with his innovation and vision, representing the future of gastronomy.




Chef of the Year: The prestigious title was awarded to chef Nikola Stojaković (Fleur de Sel), whose work, creativity, and contribution to gastronomy were exceptional throughout the past year.

This year's "Gault&Millau" event was not just an opportunity to celebrate the top gastronomic scene in Serbia but also a platform that promotes the culinary culture of the country and inspires new generations of culinary professionals.
